Westchester Children’s Chorus to Extend Its Reach to Northern Westchester from January 2024
The Westchester Children’s Chorus (WCChorus) is thrilled to reveal its expansion plans to extend its services to young vocalists in Northern Westchester and Putnam counties.

WCChorus Wins the 2023 Sophia Abeles Arts Education Award
Given annually by ArtsWestchester, this prestigious award is given annually to "An artist, individual, group, school district, or organization who, through extraordinary vision and leadership, has enriched education in Westchester. Generally, honorees demonstrate a significant level of accomplishment over and above the standards of excellence in their profession.”

WCChorus at Carnegie Hall
In June of 2022, members of our Cambiata and Chorale ensembles made their Carnegie Hall debut performing Carmina Burana with Distinguished Concerts International (DCINY). The students participated in a weekend of rehearsals as well as some fun activities such as a pre-show dinner at Ellen’s Stardust Diner!
Many school districts were so proud of the students’ performance that they featured it in school newsletters, such as New Rochelle.
WCChorus with Music at Asbury
In December of 2021, members of our Cantus performed in Music at Asbury’s annual holiday concert “God Bless Us, Everyone”, a staged reading of A Christmas Carol. This was the kickoff event for the 250th anniversary of the founding of Asbury Church.
WCChorus with New Choral Society
In October of 2021, members of our Chorale and Cambiata ensemble performed Carmina Burana with the New Choral Society in Scarsdale. This performance featured a professional orchestra and soloists from the Metropolitan Opera.
WCChorus at WCA Gala
In June of 2021, all our students performed virtually at the Westchester Children’s Association gala, which honored Hillary Rodham Clinton. Students performed “Over My Head” (at timestamp 1:07:40) and Chorale students also performed “Amani” (at timestamp 1:32:33).
WCChorus at White Plains Hospital
In March of 2021, students from our Chorale Ensemble performed at White Plains Hospital’s Day of Hope to honor our health care heroes on the 1-year anniversary of their first Covid-19 case.
WCChorus Virtual Choir
In the Winter of 2020, students from all of our WCChorus ensembles put together a virtual holiday medley entitled “Tis the Season” and were featured on the local news.
WCChorus at the Harlem Globetrotters
On New Year’s Eve in 2019, students from across our WCChorus ensembles performed the National Anthem at a Harlem Globetrotters game.
WCChorus at WINTER WONDERLAND
In the Winter of 2019 students from all our WCChorus ensembles performed holiday music and carols at the Kensico Dam Winter Wonderland.
WCChorus at the Larchmont mural walk
In the Fall of 2018 students from all our WCChorus ensembles performed at three different locations across Larchmont for their Mural Walk organized by Street Art for Mankind.
